Dr. Sonny Baidwan
General Dentist
Dr. Sonny Baidwan specializes in all aspects general and cosmetic dentistry. He graduated from the UBC School of Dentistry (D.M.D., 2013) and the UBC Pharmacology Program (B.Sc with Distinction, 2013). Dr. Baidwan’s academic background and diverse clinical experience enables him to bring the latest techniques and advancements in Dentistry to our patients.
Dr. Baidwan continuously advances his education in various aspects of dentistry including: training at the Kois centre, AADSM Essentials of Sleep Apnea Course, Focus 6 Study Club, EPIC Study Club, and the Tucker Gold Program. In addition, he is certified to provide botox therapy for cosmetics and TMJ treatments. He has studied gum grafting via the dermal arc technique, & has expertise in root canal therapy, tooth extractions and implant restorations. Dr. Baidwan is also certified as an Invisalign therapy provider.
Dr. Baidwan is a lifelong Vancouver resident and currently lives in Downtown Vancouver. He enjoys spending his spare time enjoying the city with his wife, Jessica, and pomeranian pup, Pablo. His hobbies include cheering on the Vancouver Canucks and Whitecaps, trying out different restaurants and travelling.
Dr. Bennie Chan
General Dentist
Dr. Bennie Chan was born and raised in Vancouver, graduating from UBC Bachelor’s of Science program. He traveled to the United States and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Minnesota, and has since returned to Canada to provide dental services.
Growing up Dr. Chan spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a patient. As such, he understands that the dental clinic may be an environment that generates anxiety for some. He empathizes with his patients and will spend time to explain things in a way that can be easily understood. He is also proficient in Cantonese. Dr. Chan continues to learn from mentors across the lower mainland and is an active member of study clubs including the Vancouver Dental Education Centre Prime and Orthodontics as well as the UBC Oral Pathology study club.
Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys exploring BC’s backyard, hiking trails in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. Cooking and making desserts has become a hobby of his as well.
